August 9th around 12p find us at the purple Legion Of Fun tent at the Beach Water Polo Cup in Alamitos Bay! Come early to get parking and watch great polo games.

Bring your 4-8 year old polo groms and meet us for a fun game of shallow water polo = no contact, no treading water, splashball where your kids can touch the bottom.

Legion of Fun – Event Terms and Conditions
By registering for or participating in any event, clinic, exhibition, or sporting activity hosted by Legion of Fun, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability

Participation in beach and ocean-based sporting events—including but not limited to surf exhibitions, surf clinics, water polo, paddling, kayaking, and other related activities—involves inherent risks. These risks may include changing ocean conditions, strong currents, impact with equipment, dehydration, heat exposure, marine life, and physical exertion.

By registering yourself or your child, you voluntarily assume full responsibility for these risks and agree to release and hold harmless Legion of Fun, its owners, organizers, staff, contractors, volunteers, and affiliated partners, Irvine Youth Water Polo Corporation its owners, Nicholas Baba, Robert Lynn, organizers, staff, contractors, volunteers, and affiliated partners from any and all claims, liabilities, or causes of action relating to injury, illness, property damage, or death arising from participation in Legion of Fun/Irvine Youth Water Polo Corporation events.

2. Waiver of Liability for Public Agencies

Legion of Fun activities may occur on or adjacent to public lands managed by state and local agencies. These agencies do not sponsor, manage, or oversee Legion of Fun events and are not responsible for participant safety.

You agree to expressly waive and release any and all claims—whether in contract, tort, or otherwise—against the following agencies and their employees, agents, and officials:

• State of California

• California Coastal Commission

• California State Lands Commission

• City of Long Beach

• City of Seal Beach

• City of Huntington Beach

• Surfside Colony and affiliated entities

• Any other public agency with jurisdiction over lands used by Legion of Fun

This release applies even in cases involving alleged negligence by these public entities.

3. Participant Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to:

• Follow instructions from staff and event leaders immediately and completely

• Show respect for fellow participants, staff, equipment, and the environment

• Remain within designated event zones unless otherwise directed

• Participate in good faith and maintain a positive, sportsmanlike attitude

• Refrain from inappropriate, aggressive, or disruptive behavior

• Limit phone use to emergencies or when permission is granted

Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund or future participation. Legion of Fun reserves the right to dismiss any participant for conduct that jeopardizes the safety or experience of others.

4. Emergency Care and Medical Consent

You authorize Legion of Fun staff and volunteers to administer first aid and, if necessary, seek emergency medical treatment. You acknowledge that Legion of Fun does not carry medical insurance and agree that you are financially responsible for any medical services rendered.

5. Media Release

Unless you notify us in writing before the event, you grant Legion of Fun permission to capture and use photographs or video of you and/or your child during events for promotional use across print, digital, and social media platforms.

6. Refund, Weather, and Cancellation Policy

Events may be affected by unpredictable weather, ocean conditions, or other safety concerns. In such cases, Legion of Fun will attempt to reschedule or issue event credit when possible. Full refunds are not guaranteed due to circumstances outside our control.

Cancellation Policy
Refunds are only available for cancellations made at least one week prior to the scheduled event. All registrations include a 25% non-refundable deposit. Refunds for the remaining 75% must be requested via email and will be processed to the original payment method. No-shows or same-week cancellations are not eligible for refunds.

7. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Any legal disputes must be resolved in the appropriate courts of Los Angeles or Orange County.

8. Pricing

All prices for Legion of Fun events are listed on our website. We reserve the right to adjust pricing at any time and correct any errors. Applicable taxes and processing fees will be added at checkout.

9. Use of Site & Services

By using our website or registering for events, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Legion of Fun from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising out of your use of our services or participation in events.

We are not liable for:

• Errors or inaccuracies in content

• Injuries or damages resulting from event participation

• Unauthorized access to personal information

10. Communications

By registering, you consent to receive occasional updates, event notices, or promotional messages via email, mail, or text. You can opt out at any time by emailing us at info@aqualandofthefree.com.

11. Service Changes

We reserve the right to change or discontinue any event, feature, or service without notice. Legion of Fun may cancel or suspend access to events at its sole discretion, including for safety or operational reasons.

12. Non-Sectarian and Inclusive

Legion of Fun events are inclusive and open to all, regardless of race, gender, religion, background, or ability. We are committed to maintaining a respectful, welcoming environment for all participants and families.
